Happy New Year 2013
Where do I start....Well; I wish you all a happy new year 2013 and hope all your projects or whatever you expect will yield a better return in terms of positive results. I know it is usual for some people to draw a lists of new resolutions that half of them do not stick to. That's human and at such we sometimes forget we are equally as strong as we are weak but the strength of the people is their will to push for good cause. When we launched Cameroon50 five years ago, the idea was not only to celebrate the different golden anniversaries of differents institutions of the Country. We also aimed to become an organisation that could influence the hearts of people by fostering a spirit of helping good causes in Cameroon. An initial approach was made straight to the head of the National Committee of organisation of the different fiftieth anniversaries. This gentleman happen to be the DC ( Directeur du Cabinet) of the head of state. Some of you may be interested to know but not surprised to learn that we were not contacted back after I send an official letter to introduce Cameroon50 as a non profit organisation with stated aims.

Apart from CamerCouture, No other Cameroonian organisation has been able to deliver.
Three weeks ago, just barely few days before the Olympic Games, Cameroonians of good will sat together at a crisis meeting under the cover of the OPC, the Olympic Planning Committee an adhoc organisation designed to assist sporting and cultural efforts linked to the presence of the official delegation of the CNOSC and the Cameroon Olympic Team at London 2012.
Cameroon's stand_Africa Village
This crisis meeting took place at the High Commission and was chaired by Chris Nasah of the OPC and his team whose mandate was to help plan all activities related to the participation of the Diaspora to the London 2012. Chris who is originally the chairman of Cameroon Forum held several community meetings in order to ascertain what the Diaspora could do to support our athletes during the Olympic Games several months before.

Let's give support to our remaining 14 athletes.
Now that the women's Olympic football team is out, Cameroonians who have managed to get tickets for sports venues should capture competitions of our remaining athletes and post it on social media. There is big deficit of pictures and videos on the internet and this causes a lack of information of our athletes in their respective different sports disciplines. Thomas ESSOMBA
